Introduction:
The PTE exam is relatively easy if you understand its pattern and practice at least 4–5 online mock tests.
You don’t need to be an expert in English to perform well in PTE.
Personal Experience:
Initially took IELTS and scored:
Overall: 6
Listening: 6, Reading: 6, Writing: 5.5, Speaking: 6
Switched to PTE with the same level of preparation and scored 66 (equivalent to IELTS 7).
Key Features of PTE:
Computer-based exam, making it more structured and predictable.
Requires clear speaking for the computer to recognize and evaluate your responses accurately.
Section-wise Tips:
Speaking Section:
Speak clearly and confidently to ensure the computer understands your words.
Writing Section:
Focus on typing speed and quick thinking.
Aim to write at least 200 words in the essay.
Reading Section:
Skim paragraphs quickly and choose the most suitable answers.
Listening Section:
Depends on your ability to understand different English accents and slangs.
